Quickest order yet.

Christine came to me in a time crunch and in one that I could plausibly work with. She has a wedding on the 18th and wanted some fans. Within hours the design was finalized and information was being placed on the panels.

I have to say I always love it when customers have constant communication with you. Because of the back and forth emails and it's speed we got these printed the very same day she made the reservation.

The only reason I considered this order was because it was a lower end order of only 50 fans. But with all the fans I created I had a lot of fun making them. Christine's wedding is Greek and had a mixture of blues, teals and greens. Also she mentioned she liked a previous design with the peacock feather and the theme was nature meets the Mediterranean.

Overall it was a fun time making these.

Program Fan Current order

As of late we have been really busy. Our Program fans seems to be a hot item for many of our customers. I am currently working on four separate orders all of which have come to me with amazing ideas for what they'd like to see in their program fans.

I have also been trying to design more invitations daily and uploading them to my website. Please be sure to check out our website to see what all we offer as not everything is uploaded onto our blog.

Here is an order I am almost done and very proud of. The header was designed by her sister in law so that is not one of my own designs. However everything else was done by me. This is a very simple program fan that at first I was skeptical about because of how plain it was. After it was printed and assembled I found that this fan made such an amazing statement. I really popped out and looked simply elegant.

Having a little fun

Who said that designing couldn't be fun. Sure at times it's like writing where you get a writers block but more often than not the best creations come after that little stint.

I have been racking my brain and trying to create more 'visually appealing' invitations. Sure it's nice to be elegant but to have a little bit of character in the elegance is what at leas to me draws in your attention.

With that in mind I came up with my newest creation and wedding card set. I will be posting a photo of what it looks like in it's hard copy state but for now i'll show you the designs.

(wedding invtitation, the reply card and Thank You cards)
Looking to purchase, keep checking back for the link to purchase this entire set! I can also create matching program fans, Save the Date's, Menu Cards, Table Cards, Bridal Shower etc.

Getting Inventory started

So I've been busy over the weekend with the engagement photoshoot we did and coming up with some card designs.

I love the endless possibilities that there are with creating cards. The different textures and feels you can get with different color combination and cardstock types.

I'm the type of person who loves to have unique things. For my birthday I'd rather have that hand made card, or even something written on a note pad. I seem to cherish the thoughtfulness that often comes with being unique. This is what I am attempting to do with the card creations. So far 3 cards have been made and a 4th is under way. Once you have a set template it's not bad. It's just coming up with the initial creation that takes the time.

So for your viewing pleasure this is the premier of our card line into what we hope to be will be a business that many will come to love and identify with as their stationary place to go.

Lately I have been trying to diversify who I go to for my materials. To see difference in pricing but also the atmosphere. Scrapbooker's Paradise in Calgary is a really great shop to go to. It's small but has a lot of items to choose from and for a reasonable price. However the only downside is they don't have a big selection of ribbon but the rest is great, Ample paper supplies.

Monograms: Impression Invitations designs

Here are a few monogram designs I've made. I have to admit I am fully enjoying every aspect of wedding stationary. When the client tells you what they're looking for it almost opens the flood gate to endless possibilities that you never thought of before including color coding and font matching. More will be created soon :D

Program fans get popular

Creating fans wasn't something I thought would take off in the way it has. I have had soo much interest in these fans that I am now selling them on my etsy account.
Right now the process isn't 'slow' but it is very time consuming. Once I get a routine going I'm good.

I'm meddling with the idea as to whether I should allow customization in terms of the fans design strictly the photos and the design on the fan. And if I should leave the 'template' as is and make it mandatory. Meaning the size of fan is what you will get same with the shape.

I'm thinking of offering different styles on the top but to keep the cutting down so that the fans are produced in a timley manner this seems to be the best solution. However if requested I could speak with the client to see if there's another way.

Because of this interest I have decided to start a new webpage. It's not up and running yet but will be soon so keep an eye out for the link. With the help of my lovely friend Lisa (Lilies by Lisa) the name of the shop will be Impression Invites. I will still keep the same etsy account for now. But will be changing all my wedding programs over to a new account keep an eye out for when that will happen.

Life has been busy but fun. I am excited for what life may bring and am looking forward to the opportunity of possibly meeting you. Yeah you the one reading this. Please don't be shy feel free to send me a comment any time.

All the best.

Amanda

Customize your Business Cards!

Get customized brilliant business cards. Are you tired of going to the average site that offers business cards and all your stuck with is their average templates? Do you want to be able to click that 'Design your own' button? Well all hope isn't lost. I have a passion for helping others and I would love to help design your business card the way it should be designed. Be it if it's for your wedding and using it as a Save the Date or for your personal business I will work along side you to make the card that best suites your business.

Here is an example of a card that I created for my photography business.
Front

Back

In the end you are going to want to have a respectable place print your cards out. My strong suggestion is to 1. Print it at www.zazzle.com or vistaprint.com 2. Print them yourself on cardstock. If you wish to do your own printing on cardstock I will again work with you to give you a template that you can easily print out. Zazzle offers their business cards for 16.99 for 100 cards. This you can't deny is a great price for your very own business cards.

DIY FUN FUN FUN!

I realize that weddings seem now more than ever to be over priced. The average invitation will cost you close to $400 for 150 invitations, mind you this includes the response card, invitation and envelopes. None the less it can get extremely pricey should you want a thicker paper or fancier writing. The prices alone is what's driving Brides to be more creative in their wedding. We all strive to have that unique wedding and the best way to be sure that it stays that way is if you create DIY creations.

DIY is spreading like wild fire and allowing brides to really have some fun in the planning process.

Welcome to your endless supply of DIY creations and ideas. I am a bride myself so a lot of what is posted here is something that I have done myself.

What are you waiting for why not plunge into the fun we call DIY. Here you will get photos, step by step tutorials and even templates for some of the stationary goodies at no charge to you.

I'm a very creative person and love to help out others. If you are one of those people who is in need of that creative touch and don't know where to start or what to do I can be of assistance.

I have created over the year a few STD's (Save the Dates) for brides, as well as invitations and programs. Here are a few samples of that work.

Wish you all the best, Happy planning.

Amanda
